Beginning July 1, 2010, any North Carolina teacher with a master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution will be paid on the graduate pay salary schedule. That’s the equivalent of a 10% raise – at least an extra $3,000 a year in your pocket. Experienced teachers and those with NBPTS certification can earn even more – up to $9,000 a year.
